What's NewWhat's for dinner3/09/2005
I guess I'm not afraid to admit that I measure the goodness of my life by whether or not this is the most important question I ask every day. I'm a creature of routine--as a lot of writers are--and I work in the mornings, play basketball at noon, work a little more after lunch, and then it's down to the serious business of deciding what Tia and I, and anyone else who might stop by, are going to eat that night. I shop like an old French lady and I kind of cook like one, too, except that in the past year I'm more likely to cook Chinese than anything else. I have a huge wok that has a great black patina inside it and nothing sticks to it, not even noodles, which tend to stick to anything. Anyway, that's what I want to talk about here. Cooking and food. And that most important question of all, what's for dinner? More to come. Tom
